About Tonka

Tonka is a chunky cuddly mastiff type dog. He came from the pound with right hind limb lameness. He seems to have really nice dog social skills with other dogs. He is a very sweet and playful dog who loves people. He can be a little excitable at times but can very easily resettle with a bit of encouragement. Tonka has just had TPLO surgery in July 26. TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery stabilizes a dog’s knee after a cranial cruciate ligament tear, restoring mobility and reducing pain. Tonka is looking for a family willing to help him get back on his feet and increase exercise as his knee is capable of coping with it. Tonka has a short coat and weighs 39.8kg.
