About Gilbert

Gilbert is a lovely affectionate boofy dog. He walks well on loose lead, but he is strong. He is not jumpy and ignores other dogs and cars. He is interested in other dogs but does not react. He is looking for young fit people who enjoy taking their dog on outings and lots of exercise. Gilbert enjoys pats and cuddles as well as belly rubs. He knows sit as well as other basic commands. He seems more comfortable with adult company. He has great manners: He sits and waits for food bowl to be put down and takes hand fed treats very gently. He does not beg for human food and waits on his bed until our mealtime is finished. In a home context he is very protecting and loves his family members (male and female) but is not comfortable around other men and can be quite protective. He may have lived in a domestic violence situation. He has a smooth coat and weighs 29.8kg. Our vollie says " Did I just walk the world's most perfect boy? A very adoptable guy!"
