Hi there, I’m Charlie! I’m a senior guy with a big heart and plenty of personality packed into my small frame. I love exploring on walks, sniffing out all the interesting smells, and then settling into a cosy spot for some well-earned rest. I’m independent and clever, and I really appreciate a calm, predictable home where I can feel safe and relaxed. I’m a little selective with other dogs, so it’s important that I am a solo dog in my new home so I can concentrate on building a bond with my humans. I’m not suited to homes with children under 15, as I like to take my time and enjoy life at my own pace. I will need calm, mature people who can let me take time to trust before being touched. Because of my needs, I’m best suited to an experienced owner who understands how to manage my behaviour and can provide the structure and patience I need to feel secure. I’m loyal and affectionate once I know you, and I love a gentle pat or sitting by your side while you relax. I may be small, but I have a lot of love to give, and I’d make a wonderful companion for someone who understands me and appreciates my independent streak.
